coming as soon as my camera begins to work again.

following geoblade's decleration that the parasite had caused him to be unfit to lead and subsequent refusal to lead, achon stepped in and now tries desperately to hold things together. A quirk of fate or genetics allowed him some measure of control over the mutations via sheer willpower, which he immediatly used to preserve his mind and redirect the mutation in directions that would aid his fighting style, such as a source of natural chemicals to allow him rudimentary fire manipulation, and turiong his hands into longbow-like claws due to this control he is perhaps most ideal to lead in these circumstances, providing stability and rational thought in a time when everyone else is regressing to the level of beast, this is not without it's toll however as the strain of both leading and holding off the change is slowly wearing him down and if something is not done soon then his mind will break and the elementals will be leaderless again. as a leader archon tends to be circumspect and try to keep problems at a distance, an approach that probably stems from his mentality as a ranged specialist. it will only be apparent after these events are finished, one way or another, as to whether archon's leadership was help or hindernace.

sacs with organic flammable chemicals located on back, allows "fire arrows" and various limited fire projection abilities.
greater and lesser "arabelest-arms" on main arms, supported by seconary arm growths fused to upper section of main arms. these are actually claws, strung with difficulty to act as crude longbows, with penetrative power rivaling siege crossbows.
large shuriken stored on back.
lower arms posses "grapple-claws" ideal for anchoring self to avoid recoil from firing arabelest arms or acting as secondary legs to increase landspeed, also allow imprisonment of foe in close quarters, minimal punctuing/lacerative force but maximised grip.

greatest degree of self control (both mind and mutation) of all the infected elementals, this allowed some control over the mutation for changes consistant with his fighting style, thus a more focussed and stable fighter

fighting and redirecting the mutations take much of his energy, so he tires easily and deals with a great amount of mental stress from the neccessity of the constant vigilance to maintain this unsable state, thus most likely to snap under pressure and revert to a higly unstable and dangerous state.

Special abilities:
fire manipulation. mutation control. extensive (albeit deteriorating) archery ability.

Now I'm rather curious, just what are these Toa infected with?
leviadragon99 Featured By Owner Oct 8, 2008
I'm still putting that together, but at this stage I'm thinking of a mutative parasite that reduces beings to the level of beasts, with one or two quirks and aspects unique to particular hosts and different mutation paths based on genetic "starting point"

Sounds like fun, kind of reminds me of Las Plagas from the game Resident Evil 4.

and a lot of other supernatural parasites in popular culture, it is a somewhat cliche'd field.
Lord-Makuta Featured By Owner Oct 9, 2008
I wouldn't say that, parasites haven't been circulating around fiction that much lately.
leviadragon99 Featured By Owner Oct 9, 2008
well not lately perhaps, but in contemporary comics, manga and computer games they tend to be relatively popular themes in one form or another.

The way you have the Hau Nuva in this picture makes him look sad, like he didn't want to be infected.

given the backstory I will soon put up for these infected entities that is hardly suprising, although I am glad that I got that effect entirely by accident.

Those are always the best kind of effects.
